Not born to pack

So we began the great flat pack-up this week.  Fortunately we had a couple of public holidays in which to begin and so despite what looks like a lack of progress, we were able to sit around and drink tea in between figuring out what to do next.  It’s been quite a mission because we need to sort first – what will we need for the next two days (assuming we don’t just go out to eat every evening!)? what will we need for the next two weeks of winter? what will we need for a summer holiday in the US?  what will we need for our African adventure?  what should we give away, and to whom?  what shall we sell?  what shall we pack into storage?  Just thinking about it makes me exhausted!

Luckily the weather forecast for Saturday looks sunny and we found a mover who will do all the heavy lifting and moving for us so we won’t need to do hundreds of trips between Kindroggan and Park Road!

At least we know that, come Saturday, we will be totally moved and somewhat packed up (or at least organised and sorted) so that we can spend the last week and a bit seeing friends and spending time with our new house-mates at Park Road.

Starting to get ready

We have begun the count-down, exactly three weeks today our journey will have just started!  Lots to do before then…
